Let me preface this by saying I’m not a big F&F fan. That said, the new movie is filming in Cleveland OH for this week and the next two. There’s lots of cool stuff to be seen.
My in-laws live pretty close to the old RTA garage where the movie cars and I’m guessing some production equipment are being stored. This is what my MIL saw today at an intersection on her way home:
I wanna know what those two on top, in front of the Subie are. (Edit: pretty sure Twism and Blondude nailed it as a ‘68 Charger.)
I created another post this past Sunday with some pictures I took at the bus garage. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

That Lambo looks like someone just sprayed it with plasti-dip and didn't mask off anything.

Wouldn’t shock me...look how janky that exhaust on the WRX looks. They’re movie cars...details can be cleaned up in post production.

Sweet! Where is this? I may check it out after work.

Ooof, didn't even notice the exhaust on the Subie.

Grey muscle car might be the newest Charger they ripped apart for this movie...1968 judging by the lights?

Old RTA garage near the intersection of Pearl Rd (SR42) and State Rd. in old Brooklyn. The lot is big enough to span the space between Pearl & State, so if you’re on either street you’ll see part of it.
I’m told there’s a ton of wrecks in the lot and on carriers like the above pic. Security is fairly heavy, but I’m sure they won’t bother you on the sidewalk.

Good bet you’re right. I allowed myself to be thrown by the add-on widebody wheel arches.

Not sure what else is going on with that Subaru besides the exhaust and the tail-lamps, but I can see daylight through that front wheel-housing.

Widebody ‘68 Charger race car? I need it.

Good eye. I see it now too.
Maybe a crash double? I’m told there’s a ton (probably several tons....wah-wahhhhh) of wrecks all around the lot of the bus garage.

Awesome! Thanks.

I don’t really care about the F&F franchise either, but I’ll watch Michelle Rodriguez anytime - that explains this . And Gal Gadot helps.

Oh hell yeah...so badly...

that’s what’s puzzling me too... unless they use 385 tires and extend them 2 foot on each sides, there would be no need to extent the fenders of the Charger by that much... they are already pretty wide.
The back of the rear fender is flat, which made me think Plymouth at first, but I’m not sure anymore.

Tires look fairly huge from that angle, but it could be light playing tricks.
I was wondering if that might be some sort of big honkin’ wing that bevels at the ends and reaches the fenders. They appear to have added a diffuser as well, so I don’t see any reason a big wing wouldn’t be a possibility.

They’ve used a ‘68 Charger in every movie. The last movie used this:
I’m certain there will be a Charger race car in the new one.

first one had a 1970 (different lights):
but you’re right, that might be some kind of tube-chassis, fiberglass body racecar vaguely looking like a Charger.

Yeah, my bad. It’s a ‘70 that’s been in most of the movies. The precedent of heavily modified second gen Chargers is there though.
